FAQ | Guides | TroubleshootingProblem : False alarms.Cause : Baby was removed from crib and nursery unit was not switched OFF. Solution : Turn off the nursery unit. Cause : Sensor pad cord not connected properly to nursery unit. Solution : Verify the connection between the sensor pad and nursery unit. Unplug and reconnect the cord. Cause : Sensor pad is not in full contact with crib mattress, or crib mattress is not resting on a completely flat or rigid surface. Solution : Make sure there is no bedding between mattress and sensor pad. Sensor pad must rest on a completely flat and rigid surface. Place a piece of 6 mm (1/4”) plywood to cover the full size of the crib base. Cause : Baby is in a very deep sleep or has moved away from sensor pad sensitivity's area Solution : Make sure sensor pad is positioned as described under the description section. Sensitivity may need to be adjusted. Problem : Alarm does not sound.Cause : Nursery unit is detecting movement when baby crib is being touched. Solution : Avoid contact with the baby crib when monitor is ON. Cause : Nursery unit is detecting movement from outside the crib such as motorised devices, strong drafts, and etc… Solution : Place crib near a solid supporting wall to avoid sensor pad from detecting movement from surrounding environment Cause : Sensitivity is set too high. Solution : You may need to decrease the sensitivity, view the Demonstration section for details. Problem : Orange light is flashingCause : The sensor pad is not in complete contact with the mattress or the base of the mattress is not solid enough. Solution : Make sure there is no bedding between the mattress and the sensor pad. Sensor pad must rest on a completely rigid surface. If there is a boxspring, place a masonite board measuring 400mm x 600mm x 6mm between the mattress and boxspring. If the mattress is directly supported by a wooded base, no extra support is needed. Cause : The baby is in a very deep sleep or has roll away from the sensor pad. Solution : Ensure the sensor pad is placed lengthwise, face-up, under the mattress. Read more under Demonstration. Problem : No transmissionCause : Units are too far apart. Solution : Bring the two units closer together. Cause : Batteries are low or improperly installed. Solution : Verify / replace batteries or recharge the Parents Unit (AC 201-R model only). Cause : Either the adaptors are not plugged properly or the wall socket is not working. Solution : Check the plugs and wall sockets. Cause : At least one unit has not been switched ON. Solution : Make sure both units are ON. Cause : Units are not on the same channel. Solution : Make sure both units are set to the same channel, either A or B. Problem : The green power light is not workingCause : Batteries are low or improperly installed. Solution : Verify / replace batteries or recharge the Parents Unit (AC 201-R model only). Cause : Either the adaptors are not plugged properly or the wall socket is not working. Solution : Verify the connection between the Sensor Pad and Nursery Unit. Cause : At least one unit has not been switched ON. Solution : Make sure both units are ON and set to the same channel, either A or B. Problem : Poor receptionCause : Units are too far apart. Solution : Bring the two units closer together. Cause : At least one unit is in close proximity to a high volume of metal. Solution : Try moving one or both units. Cause : At least one unit is not in the upright position. Solution : Place units in upright position, out of reach from the baby. Cause : Batteries are low. Solution : Replace or recharge batteries in the Parents Unit (AC 201-R model only). Problem : Static, distortion, interferenceCause : The Parents Unit is out of range. Solution : Bring the units closer together. Cause : The two units are not set to the same channel (A or B). Solution : Make sure the two units are switched ON and set to the same channel, A or B. Cause : The Parents Unit is in close poximity to a motorized device, neon lighting, television, etc. Solution : Pivot the Parents Unit or move it away from the source of interference. |
